Global qualifications
The four teams from the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup with the lowest rankings, the four best teams not previously qualified for the World Cup or qualifications, and eight teams from Regional Qualifiers made up the Global Qualifiers. The COVID-19 epidemic caused all ICC qualifying tournaments planned to take place before June 30, 2020, to be postponed, according to the International Cricket Council (ICC), which announced this on March 24, 2020. Following the interruption caused by the epidemic, the ICC changed the qualifying procedure in December 2020.
The ICC officially announced in August 2021 that the COVID-19 epidemic was to blame for the cancellation of the EAP qualifier. The Philippines, the top-ranked team in the EAP region, went on to the Global Qualifiers. The pandemic also forced the cancellation of Group B of the Asia qualifier in October 2021, with Hong Kong is moving on at the top-ranked team.
Jersey advanced to the Global Qualifiers after winning their first four games in the Regional Final of the European Qualification. Based on the net run rate, Germany finished in the second position and progressed from the European group. Bahrain won Group A of the Asia qualifier by a narrow margin over Qatar in terms of net run rate.
The United States was the first team from that division to move to the Global Qualifiers after winning their first five games in the Americas qualifying. They were joined by Canada, who placed second in the Americas qualifying group. Uganda secured the last slot in the global qualifying rounds after winning the regional final of the Africa qualifier.
Who Won the First T20 World Championship?

In the competition’s championship game, the Indian team beat Pakistan. Throughout the competition, the Indian team played fantastic cricket with great pace and quality.
The best batsman for India throughout the competition was Yuvraj Singh. In only 12 balls against England, he had surpassed the tournament record for the quickest fifty. Yuvraj Singh’s six sixes in a single over at the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup also went down in history. Yuvraj put his mark in the cricket record books by hitting six sixes in one over off Stuart Broad.
The Indian cricket squad was coached by MS Dhoni. Under the leadership of M.S. Dhoni, India played fearless cricket and won the tournament. For his outstanding all-around performance, Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi earned the 2007 T20 World Cup competition award. The top run scorer in this tournament was Matthew Hayden of Australia (265 runs), while the top wicket-taker was Umar Gul of Pakistan (13 wickets).

Australia’s Shane Watson amassed the most runs (249) during the competition. Throughout the competition, Ajantha Mendis got the most wickets (15).
2014 World Cup T20: Sri Lanka
In 2014, India came very close to capturing a second T20 championship, but Sri Lanka had other plans, winning the final by six wickets to bid Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara goodbye. Since all of the teams in Group A are highly good, it will be more competitive than Group B. Playing in Australia would be advantageous for the Indian squad. The Indian players are acquainted with the pitch type, ground dimensions, and weather patterns.
The squad from England is also a strong favorite to win the competition. The I.C.C. Men’s T20I Team Rankings presently place them in the top 3. In T20Is, the Australian squad has always been a pleasant surprise. They will perform like champs since they are the current winners.
In T20Is, the Australian squad is always a threat. Since all of the teams have a chance, it is quite difficult to determine who will win the event. ICC MEN’S T20 WORLD CUP 2022.
